My battery died before I could save my document. When booting up, MS ran updated. No files there. Auto recover was ON and marked to happen every 10 min before I started with the document. Please assist. I was using an old document and typing over it. I had been using it for hours, when the laptop decided it needed to do a restart.
The old document opened but all the over typing I had done was not saved. This has not worked for me. And let me add Just a tip. You're a genius!!!!!

Apr 4, PM. I guess I was expecting more than four. I've had my macbook for 3 years, and have produced probably hundreds of word documents. For example, one of the recovered files is from over a year ago, and is just a random document. Why is that one in the folder for over a year, but files I have recently written, and then not saved, have not autosaved, and the file I just lost is not recoving itself either.
